January 2018 HOUSE WINE PAIRINGS

$85 PER GUEST

arrival wine

MV Delamotte Champagne, Blanc de Blancs, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cóte des Blancs, France

Pairing Notes: We are thrilled to begin the evening with bubbles from one of our favorite houses. This wine is 100% Chardonnay and features soft aromas of green apple, brioche, and lemon zest. The finish is lush and perfectly balanced with a note reminiscent of fine, silky chalk.

first course

2016 Galerie Riesling, Terracea, Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley

Pairing Notes: We dive into Act II with this delicious and dry Riesling. The glass is redolent with notes of juicy ripe peach, rose petals, and lavender honey. The palate features notes of silky, ripe stone fruit and has a beautiful acidity that makes it perfect alongside the scallop with sweet and sour glazed sweetbreads.

second course

2016 Cochon Chardonnay, Les Collines d’Or, Russian River Valley

Pairing Notes: For your Dungeness crab tortellini, we present this luscious glass that displays aromas of butter, croissant, and popcorn. The finish is long with a lovely texture and just the perfect hint of creamy oak. This wine simply dances with the carrot-apple nage and Dungeness crab.

third course

2015 WillaKenzie Pinot Noir, Giséle, Yamhill Carlton, Oregon

Pairing Notes: This delightful Act is accompanied by an equally energetic Pinot Noir. Juicy flavors of raspberries and plums and a white pepper that becomes spicier as it lingers on your tongue. We couldn’t have hoped for a better wine to line up next to your duck breast and coastal huckleberries.

fourth course

2014 Januik Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Washington

Pairing Notes: We are incredibly excited to share this beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon with you. The cassis, raspberry, and warm vanilla flavors are quite an experience with the tenderloin. Cocoa cream and smooth tannin make this not only a favorite wine, but a favorite pairing.

dessert course

2014 La Fleur D’Or Late Harvest White, Sauternes, France

Pairing Notes: Your final Act this evening features this delightful treat. The wine shows light notes of ripe apricot and honey. It is delicate and elegant, with a good amount of acidity, making it the perfect complement for your Thai tea pot de crème with tropical fruit.
