MV Delamotte Champagne, Brut, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cóte des Blancs, France
Pairing Notes: We are thrilled to begin the evening with bubbles from one of our favorite houses. This wine is predominantly grand cru Chardonnay. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are added to finish the personality of the wine. The finish is elegant and perfectly balanced with notes of white flesh fruit, pear, and ginger.
2012 Bunan White Blend, ‘Moulin des Costes’, Provence, France
Pairing Notes: We present you with this beautiful Provencal wine made from Sauvignon Blanc, Bourboulenc, Ugni Blanc, and Clairette. Only 2% of Bandol wine is white, and Bunan produces 40% of that. The end result is this: almond aromatics followed by a caressing texture that is perfect for your first dish of bouillabaisse and Alaskan Halibut.
2013 Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot Red Blend, ‘Les Fontanelles’, Minervois, Languedoc, France
Pairing Notes: The partnership between these two fantastic winemakers was founded in 2006. Together they bring us this blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan. Aromas of black raspberries, cassis, and baking spice are met with a full bodied, yet silky palate. Those same notes dance with the brandade tortellini with black garlic.
2016 Eugene Meyer Pinot Gris, Alsace, France
Pairing Notes: This is easily one of our favorite producers- and they have been around since the 1700s. This certified biodynamic wine features notes of honeysuckle and orange flowers. The palate is subtle with notes of pineapple and sweet spices, which makes it a great accompaniment to your ash roasted white asparagus and Béarnaise.
2011 Lassegue Red Blend, Grand Cru, St. Emilion, Bordeaux, France
Pairing Notes: The estate is a partnership between California’s Jess Jackson and France’s Pierre Seillan. Together they create this rustic and earthy red, made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The notes of forest floor are perfect alongside the morel mushrooms and fava beans. The body of the wine stands well with the beef breast.
2008 Henri Bourgeois Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, St. Charles, Loire Valley, France
Pairing Notes: Henri Bourgeois is now in its 11thgeneration of being run by the family. They strive to produce phenomenal wine, and we are honored to showcase that effort with this glass. The wine is riddled with notes of honey and marmalade which are perfect with your strawberry shortcake dessert.
